How to do a Front Squat - Weightlifting Exercise


The Front Squat is a weight lifting exercise that includes the use of a barbell. The exercise is used to develop strength in the legs, core and rack position. It mainly targets the quadriceps due to the position of the bar in the front of the body but also has some influence on the gluts and hamstrings. The Front Squat is an excellent exercise to develop the strength and balance needed to perform the Clean.
